At Rise & Shine Creative Academy, your lessons are custom built to your interests and needs! Learn the songs you love and master disciplines such as music production, jazz, songwriting, composition, and more!

For example, if you desire to be a musical artist and songwriter, your lessons will focus on creating original music, developing your unique sound, and learning the ins and outs of the music industry.

Outside of weekly lessons, you have the opportunity to participate in student showcases which build community and musical connections. Since we teach students across many different states, your musical community is not limited to where you live!

At Rise & Shine Creative Academy, we have found that online students actually progress faster than in-person students! We believe that this is due to the consistency that online lessons allow.

With online lessons, the common hiccups like minor illnesses, car issues, bad traffic, or changes in work schedules don’t prevent you from getting to your lesson. Rise & Shine Creative Academy allows you to skip the commute and parking and simply log on for each lesson. You gain a professional and educational experience from the comfort and convenience of your home!

Online lessons also allow for all your musical materials to be in one place. Your teacher will use Google Slides to type notes, suggestions, assignments, tips and tricks, links to videos and recordings, sheet music etc. You’ll have access to your slides throughout the week, so you won't have to take notes during your lesson!

Rise & Shine Creative Academy is a great fit if you are interested in learning or growing as a pianist, but you’re also interested in other musical disciplines such as music production, composition, music business, and/or songwriting.

Lessons can also be a great way to supplement a traditional music education that you’re receiving elsewhere. For example, perhaps you sing in the choir at your high school but you’re also interested in learning how to write, produce, record, and release your own music! You may be learning how to sing elsewhere, but in our lessons, we can focus on writing your own songs and building your brand as a unique, musical artist.

While we specialize in piano, students who play other instruments (such as guitar) may still benefit from lessons. Music theory, production, and writing original music are concepts that stretch beyond individual instruments. We teach all ages and abilities, and will adapt to your individual needs, interests, and goals. About half of our students are kids, and half are adults! It’s never too late to begin music lessons!

You’ll need a computer, Zoom, and your instrument for lessons. From time to time, there will be piano books and support materials that your teacher will ask you to purchase for your lessons. Since each student is different, your teacher will suggest these materials to you as the lessons unfold!

As a student of Rise & Shine Creative Academy, you pay a tuition, which is a recurring monthly charge that can be stopped at any time. Private lessons and showcases are included in the tuition! We use an online portal where you can sign up for lessons, see your weekly assignments, and pay for lessons all in one place!
